No Reason 03:35
Only I understand the situation Feeling like this all through the night Watching you suffer indignation Feeling like this all the god damn time All your words seem so hollow Free your mind and your ass will follow Sick of all these crappy scenes Sick of hanging round with Mr Clean When I opened up my mind See me walking down the line Destination dead ahead Laying where I lay my bed And the sun refuse to shine Think I’m drifting outta time I don’t need a reason Only I understand the situation I'm feeling like this all through the night Watching you suffer indignation I'm feeling like this all through the night When I opened up my mind See me walking down the line Destination dead ahead Laying where I make my bed And the sun refuse to shine Think I’m drifting outta time I don’t need a reason When I opened up my mind See me walking down the line Destination dead ahead Laying where I make my bed And the sun refuse to shine Think I’m drifting outta time I don’t need a reason

The Naked Lunch 2nd Album Real Gone 2022
Australian Proto-Rock band The Naked Lunch has recorded their brand new full-length 2nd album ‘REAL GONE’. This new album features 2 cover versions of classic songs, done in our style, with choices that will shock & 10 brand new original songs complete the dozen. + a hidden track.
The new songs are a crisp and clear evolution of the band’s songwriting, recording, and production ideas. Most are the Rock / Pop style songs you can expect from ‘The Lunch’, others are deep, sensitive tunes that may make you pause for thought. ‘Real Gone’ is a great extension of the band’s growth. Second albums can be troublesome, but we love the end result and agree that it beats our first release, as it should. We hope you do too.

LET'S DO LUNCH Written by Ron Brown on 06 July 2022.
Real Gone - The Naked Lunch (Aldora Britain Records) Surf punk pop is alive, The Naked Lunch has a new single out - and what a bloody good tune it is. “Real Gone” is so catchy. A different version was recorded and released by an earlier line-up back in the 1980s and the song was written by Tony “The Kid” Robertson and Died Pretty legend Ronald S Peno. Play it loud.
This is what Sydney’s underground surf rock was/is all about. The line-up of The Lunch boasts some of Australia’s finest musicians: Tony Gibson on guitar, Murray Shepherd on drums, The Kid on bass and Steve Beves on vocals. It’s a brilliant single to follow 2019’s “The Naked Lunch” album. The second album is on its way and has the same name as the single. “Real Gone” is real gold and I am so looking forward to hearing the long player. The song is available in digital format here.

Aldora Britain Records Artist of The Year 2022 3rd January 2023
It’s that time of year again! The announcement of our ‘Artist of The Year’. As always, this is decided by ABR’s supporters, the final decision is based on the most streamed artists on our Bandcamp page in the last year.
2022’s Artist of The Year is the Australian garage rock institution The Naked Lunch. It’s a big mix of punk attitude, garage ethos, protopunk grit, and a sprinkling of pop sensibility. You can’t go wrong! Congrats to Tony, Steve, Murray, and Tony!
The Naked Lunch become the third artist to be recognised, following jangle pop heroes Rascallionsband in 2021, and rhythm and blues royalty The Juke Joint Kings in 2020.
#supportindependentmusic
In the aftermath of The Naked Lunch’s album release, the Aussie garage rock institution take over the charts with an unprecedented eleven appearances in the Top 20, including their third Number 1. (20/1/23 AB Records)”

The Naked Lunch is the brainchild of legendary bass player Tony “Robbo, T-Bone, The Kid” Robertson. “Since first plugging his bass into an amp as a Brisbane teenager, Tony ‘The Kid’ Robertson's loud, rock n roll journey spans 40-plus years. It's a journey that has seen him play with some of Australia's most iconic rock outfits. On show #158 of the Australian Rock Show, The Kid joins us for a lengthy interview, and we talk about everything...from the relentless gigging with Wasted Daze, his time in red-hot Brisbane band The 31st, playing pinball with the Ramones, before joining the Hitmen in the early 1980's. We also chat about his stints in the New Christs and Screaming Tribesmen, his work as an actor, and of course, talk a lot about The Naked Lunch - the outfit he formed in the mid-80's - who are set to release a new
